On Thursday night, the Signature Symphony completed it's 2007-2008 concert season. Paul Stefan and I have greatly benefited by the opportunity to grow in orchestra experience with a group of excellent musicians. (more…)
A couple of weeks ago, Heidi, Kara, and I met for lunch at Panera. The occasion? Kara would be leaving for Pennsylvania two days later The three of us were in a Bible study together some years ago and Kara wanted one last time of fellowship before she left. (more…)

Valentine's Day is coming up on Thursday. While the world focuses on an imitation of true love and pleasures which soon fade away, what should Christians focus on? This week, I will be pondering death. Why death? We are all too prone to live as if death does not exist. We forget that our lives on this earth will end. While others engage in frivolity, we must maintain a sober mind by reminding ourselves of the brevity of life. To prepare for death, it is crucial to make sure our relationships, first with God and then with others, are in good standing. Later this week, I plan to post an article on love, Lord willing. Having posted photos of the damage done by the ice, I think it is fitting to show pictures of God's artistry in the midst of the disaster. I woke up on Monday morning to a completely crystalized landscape. Almost everything was covered in ice. It seemed as though God had been painting a picture all through the night. His art is definitely unsurpassed!
